For a pittance, the Mini Tower makes the inexpensive Mac minilook plenty like the Cube, suspending it vertically above thesurface of a table and turning its top and bottom Apple icons intoleft and right sides. The mini's top surface is obviously nicerlooking than the bottom, but neither is unattractive, and theacrylic adds a ton of gloss and class to the already beautifulApple case.
Four rubber feet hold the Mini Tower still and preventits polished bottom from being scratched.' I bought the Evolution TV device (Watch and record TV on your Mac with Evolution TV!) by Miglia Technology LTD yesterday at COMPUSA. I have an iMac G5, 2.1 GHz, 1gb RAM. It looks like it will be great if I can get it to work without reeking havock on my other applications, but I've had a lot of flakey problems so far, like the set up assistant worked well for the tv tuner, but not the composite nor s-video mode. After installing the ichat patch, and I'm foggy on what exactly was supposed to happen when I did that, but it did not solve my sound problem. Then when I was no longer using that application my HP Photosmart 3310 (All in one) wasn't able to send my photo images via the card reader slots.Miglia does have a phone number to call for support but it is in the UK and so I first called Apple tech support, and they were unfamiliar with the product and recommended I remove and uninstall. As far as Miglia goes, I have not been getting any support via email or online, perhaps because its a weekend.
Maybe Monday there will be some reply to my pleas for help.In the meantime, I uninstalled the iChat patch, which didn't seem to make any improvements on the sound problem, but I was able to get the HP Printer card reader functional again. About the sound problem. Seems I have to run iChat with my iSight and camera turned on for the sound to come thru on the Evolution TV tuner. When I used it with an S-video cord and you have to use an audio composite connection at the same time, to capture video and sound from my camcorder, the captured image had a strip at the bottom, which was actually a horizonal section repeated from the top of the image, very weird and aggravating.
